How it Works

‘With a little love’ is a completely free baby clothing ‘lending library’ based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Our London branch can be contacted at:

I have no acceptance criteria – I am happy to lend bundles of clothing to any local mums/dads/carers who would like to borrow them.  My only request is that you return all borrowed clothes once they have been outgrown.

At the moment, I have clothes for boys and girls, in sizes newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months and 12-18 months – enough to see your baby through their first year.  I also have sleeping bags, coats and snowsuits.

All of my stock is available to browse through on our open mornings on the first Monday of the month, 0930 – 1130 at Christchurch, Thame (OX9 2DN).  Dates can be found here, or on our regularly-updated Facebook page.  At the moment, I am running well under-capacity and have boxfuls of clothing ready to lend, so do feel free to pop in – and bring a friend!

I will not ask for any form of payment or deposit.  ‘With a little love’ runs on trust and goodwill, and will hopefully remain that way for the forseeable future.

All ‘With a little love’ clothes are in really good condition – any well-worn items are removed from stock and donated to clothing banks or hostels.  If the clothes you have borrowed become stained, do feel free to drop them into a fabric recycling bin – there is obviously no charge for such things, I am not naive enough to expect clothes to remain spotless, and am aware that ‘accidents happen’!

Premature baby clothes are available if needed – due to limited stock, please contact me directly if you expect to need this size.  In emergencies, I can often arrange to put together a premature bundle and deliver to you at home or in hospital – just drop me a message via and I’ll see what I can do.
